The Rhododendron Festival

November 3rd was a truly marvellous day at the Rhododendron festival at Blackheath. We considered it absolutely marvellous to be awarded the splendid prize for the street procession "Best Humorous Float" (although I confess to being a little baffled as to why we were regarded as humorous). Mr Hedgewick did look spiffing along side the new fangled motor cars.

Here is a wonderful photograph of Miss Fenella Quinn and Joseph Blacklock on the lovely Trolley 'bus. Mr Phillits and Mr Hedgewick both enjoyed recording the day with these splendid images.

Miss Leonora had prepared a most delightful morning tea for Mr Hedgewick, only to find that Miss Isabel had , yet again, captured his attention.

Mr Phillits and Mr Hedgewick have been most amusing. They simply can't leave off playing with their equipment, and are indeed being most inventive with it. I, however, do not comprehend these modern pastimes, but have a strong sense that we can look forward to many experimental images from those madcap gentlemen. We must indeed keep a watchful eye on "The Blue Mountains Echo" to see if any further lovely photographs appear.

It is with much anticipation, I look forward to our next gathering,
Much love, Miss Abigail Price xxx
